Teyu Wang investigates the phenomenology of space and the existential conditions of human presence through a minimalist vocabulary. She regards every perceptual encounter as a pivotal moment to disturb, erase, reconstruct, or manifest the relationship between the body and the world. Employing a disciplined formal language, she facilitates renewed encounters between the viewer and their surrounding architecture.

Best known for her large-scale, site-specific installations, Wang creates works that function not only as precise responses to the exhibition site but also as mechanisms to recalibrate the act of viewing. By compelling viewers to physically navigate these immersive environments, she provokes a heightened awareness of their own position and the generative process of perception.

Recent major exhibitions include the Setouchi Triennale 2022 (Japan); OK Center for Contemporary Art (Sinnesrausch 2019, Linz, Austria); and the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan (Phenomena of the Mind, South Korea, 2019).
