Sara Wu (Ihsuan Wu) employs images and sculptures to ‘suspend’ the overlooked corners and objects of everyday life, transforming them into a medium for re-experiencing the reality of the present. Through the spatial convergence and transmutation of video, installation, and found objects, she investigates the capacity of matter to reveal or conceal information within shifting spatiotemporal narratives. Her practice contemplates the ontological state of things, using them as a lens to examine both personal conditions and the collective social phenomena they mirror.

Wu holds an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art (2020). She has exhibited internationally at prestigious institutions including the Royal Society of Sculptors (UK), the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center (Budapest), the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. In 2025, she completed a residency at Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin. Her work has been recognised with an Honourable Mention at the 2022 Taipei Art Awards and the 2021 Taoyuan International Art Award, and she was selected for the 2019 Parallel Photo Platform in Europe.
